We hope you are all settling into a routine at home (having a clear structure to your day is essential to success). All resources for maintaining learning at home can be found in our HOME LEARNING tab. Teachers will be adding more materials and links over the coming days and weeks to supplement the weekly learning plans. Please see guidance information in the Important Information and Letters to Parents section – we do not expect all of this work to be done!
Teachers will continue to monitor children accessing purple mash, School360 and TTrockstars and are able to send encouragement via the built-in communication within these platforms. Please encourage/help your children access these resources, thank you. We are not expecting children to be doing school linked home learning over the Easter break (apart from keeping up with their reading) and will open up Week 3 on Monday 20th April at the start of the summer term. If you need another book for your child to record their home learning please use your daily exercise to pop down to school – we will put new books outside school each day this week between 9am and 3.30pm for you to collect. Please observe social distancing rules if you do come to school.
Our skeleton school for children of key workers and vulnerable children has been operating well and we have a good picture of current needs. We are operating following the government and health guidance to only have children and staff in school if no other provision is possible. This is to reduce interactions and slow the spread of the virus. If you are a key worker or have vulnerable children and you are unable to organise suitable and safe care for your child/children please get in contact with us to discuss what we can do. If you think you may need help over the Easter school holidays please get in touch before 12noon on Friday 3th April. Call us on 01668 281470 (if we are unable to answer please leave us a message on the answer machine which will be checked daily). You can also contact us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org – this email will also be checked daily.
The school aims to provide the children in its care with an excellent all-round education.
Our children are the stars of the future. In our school children’s happiness and well-being is of extreme importance. We know that children learn best when they feel happy and secure and because of this we place great emphasis on: developing a love of learning and having fun, encouraging each child to develop to their full potential, developing children’s self-confidence and self-esteem, working in partnership with parents and local community in the education of our children.
