What our parents have said....

Each year we ask parents to give feedback on their child's time in Nursery and Reception.

Here are some of the Oak Class parent responses:

Really good (the curriculum), love the diverse range of things explored and experienced

Tapestry is a good communication tool. I like how you can know what is going on at home and in school.

I trust that staff know how best to educate my child, so I don't need to know absolutely everything that goes on, I would rather staff spend the time with the children that doing admin tasks.

I think my child has made big leaps in phonics, maths, art and creativity, IT and science - so I feel the teaching is excellent.

The termly meetings ( after the focus week) were good & I have always felt well informed.

Here are some of their responses from Nursery parents:

I think Tapestry is brilliant . It's an easy and quick way to communicate.

Just keep doing the Stay and play afternoons, as they are nice for the kids to show us around and what they get up to . Its a great time to chat to teachers.

My child was very happy here and made lifelong friends, therefore has been of huge benefit to him

My child has loved Nursery ( even when she's not wanted me to leave her), she will miss it and everyone. I feel you've all made her prepared for Reception.

At our recent Stay and Play we asked parents for their views on our setting, here are some the positive responses:

Being joined to Reception means easier transition

Wonderful resources – especially the garden, friendly staff interacting with children in a lovely way

The amount of play that is used to learn from

Getting them in to a routine ready for school

How well they know my child

Here are some of the things that parents and carers have suggested that our Early Years Team  should work to improve:

Flexible use of the funded hours for working parents, not just 9-3

More notice on communication

More stay and plays

More organised activities for parents to join in

Better promotion of the Nursery within the community
